North Goa thins out above Morjim. The bars give way to casuarina, the road narrows, and by Ashwem the beach is wide, pale and largely empty. Halcyon sits on the headland at its northern end — walking distance to three of the best kitchens in the state, and far enough from all of them to hear nothing at night.
